A "fun raising" dinner to benefit nine area agencies

Brattleboro Cares supports the work of nine Brattleboro human service agencies who feed the
hungry, shelter the homeless and counsel those in crisis. Men Who Cook is a fund-raising event for Brattleboro Cares.

All of the Men Who Cook are volunteers; they come together to organize the event, serve and entertain you during this delicious and festive occasion. Over ninety-five percent of your donations go directly to the caring agencies of Brattleboro Cares. They are:

Loaves and Fishes provides free community meals.

Meals on Wheels brings nutritious meals to home-bound elders.

Brattleboro Area Drop-In Center maintains a community food shelf and provides day shelter for homeless and low-income persons.

Morningside Shelter is a full service shelter for single adults and families.

Womens' Crisis Center is a safe haven with services for battered women and their children.

Service Enriched Housing Project of Brattleboro Area Community Land Trust provides transitional housing for single adults and families leaving shelters.

Brattleboro Pastoral Counseling Center provides affordable counseling through the client fund.

HELPLINE provides free telephone helpline counseling. Information & Referral Specialists assist callers with problem solving support, advocacy and information/referrals to community resources to meet their needs.

Brattleboro Housing & Human Resources Council coordinates the work of local housing human service agencies.
